A Crochet Baby Blanket

My Aunt made me this blanket for me when I was born. It is so pretty!  This pattern that follows is not exactly the one, but it is very close.



         I have been looking for the pattern for 2 years now, but did not find one that resembled it until now!




And here is the pattern that is similiar to the one I have. More of a vintage look, but quite pretty too!





Vintage Rose

 

 

Hook size: M(9.00mm)

Bernat Rose Pink(A)

Lion Brand Sea Spray(B)

Lily’s Sugar `n’ Cream Ecru(C)

Gauge: Rnds 1-3 = 3½ in

MM (Move Marker)

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook

Instructions

Hold 2 strands of yarn throughout

With B ch 5 and join with slip st to form ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring (mark the front loop of first sc), 2sc into first sc (mark last sc as end of round) do

not join.

Working into back loop only now and throughout

Rnd 2: 2 sc into each sc around, MM

Rnd 3: (2 sc in next, sc in next sc) around, MM

Rnd 4: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around, MM

Rnd 5: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) around, MM

Rnd 6: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc) around, MM

Rnd 7: (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) around, join with slip st to both loops of first sc.

Working through both loops now and throughout

Back Ch: Turn work, yo 4 times, insert hook into marked sc, (yo, draw loop through 2 loops on hook) 4

times, turn back around.

Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in next 3 sc,*[(sc{mark this one}, hdc) in next sc,(dc, htr, tr, picot) in next sc, (tr, htr, dc) in

next sc, Back Ch, (hdc, sc) in next sc ]* sc in next 24 sc, repeat between * once, sc in next 21 sc, join with

slip st to first sc, fasten off B.

Rnd 9: With C join with slip st to either of the Back Ch, [ch 4 (counts as first tr), 2 tr, ch 3, 3 tr] in same

loop, skip next 2 sc, *[(dc, ch 1, dc) in next sc, skip next 2 sc] 2 times more * 3 tr in next sc, ch 3, 3 tr in

next sc, skip next 2 sc; repeat from between * once, (3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in Back Ch, skip next 2 sc, repeat

from between * once, 3 tr in next sc, ch 3, 3 tr in next sc, skip next 2 sc repeat from between * once, join

with slip st to first tr.

Rnd 10: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 tr, * (4 dc, ch 1, 4 dc) in next ch-3 sp, dc in each tr and ch-1 sp

across to ch-3 sp repeat from * 2 times more, (4 dc, ch 1, 4 dc) in next ch-3 sp, dc in each tr and ch-1 sp

across to beginning dc, join with slip st to first dc.

Working in front loop only

With A join with slip st to marked loop on first rnd, (ch 2, 4 dc in same loop), sk 1 loop, sl st in next loop,

(sk 1 loop, 5 dc in next loop, sk 1 loop, sl st in next loop) 41 times slip st in last loop, finish off weave in
